Gaudy

So yeah, I written a few times in my Journal that I was doing a picture based on the works of Tukiji Nao for class and here it is. Many long hours and one sleepless night later here we are. . . .

Well, actually during the in class critique it seemed to be missing something- another level of detail and I needed to raise the contrast a little. I added more highlights to the girl's dress and more shadows to the guy's shirt. Then I added the background bubbles and the piece was completed!

About 7 years ago (ew~ it's really been 7 years?!) I had a dream where my friends, people I've never met in person and myself were each the embodiment of an element. I was Dark, hence the name I choose and he's Light <3.

Since that dream I have made characters base of the people in the dream. This brings us to the characters in the picture: the King of Light and the Queen of Dark. They are two of my favorite characters to draw so you can expect to see more of them in the future.
